There is however a risk of 'blue-washing' by covering up corporate misbehaviour and law infringement from large MNEs through poorly enforced 'Integrity Measures' and weak U.N supervision. Black steel worker wins $25m damages after years of racist abuse by co-workers
A federal jury has awarded $25 million in damages to a U.S. steel plant employee who says his bosses at Luxembourg-based ArcelorMittal failed to stop years of racial taunts and insults from co-workers.

ArcelorMittal is a Global Compact participant since 2003/09/03. ArcelorMittal was a Gold Contributor for the Foundation of the Global Compact in 2012.
