Novartis dragged into China bribery scandal

Swiss drug maker Novartis has become the third Western pharmaceuticals company to be accused of bribery in China, after a newspaper published allegations against the firm. More on the Telegraph. Novartis is a Global Compact participant since 2000/07/26 and is considered as one of the organization's Founding Fathers. Novartis was a LEAD contributor (USD $65,000 +) to the Foundation of the Global Compact in 2012, and a USD 10,000 contributor in 2010.

This website is created to complain about the malpractices of two staff members of the United Nations Global Compact(UNGC).

Dear friends and colleagues at the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

I was formerly the UNGC representative to Thailand. I was expelled out simply because two UNGC officers accused us of misusing their logo. This is a false accusation. On August 2, 2011, I wrote a Letter to Mr.Ban Ki-Moon: Malpractice and Lack of Integrity of UNGC Officers, and sent it to all of its board members but received no response. In Thailand, the Employers Confederation of Thailand (ECOT), where I am a Vice-President signed the agreement with the UNGC Executive Director to let us represent them in Thailand, but the two officers simply removed us.

Furthermore, these two UNGC officers also removed my own company, Agency for Real Estate Affairs, from the UNGC for the same reason. This again represents totally false information. So I wrote another Letter to Mr.Ban Ki-Moon: Malice of Your UNGC Officers: Soren Petersen and Anita Househam. As usual, there was no response from the UNGC.

This implies that the malpractice of a few staff members caused the UNGC to lack both transparency and integrity. There is no justice here. How can they promote corporate governance, CSR, MDG, and the like? Please help to examine and restore the dignity of the UNGC and to make it more objective in serving the world.
