There is however a risk of 'blue-washing' by covering up corporate misbehaviour and law infringement from large MNEs through poorly enforced 'Integrity Measures' and weak U.N supervision. China probes France’s Sanofi for bribery
French drugmaker Sanofi has been accused of dishing out almost $280,000 in bribes to Chinese doctors in 2007 in a bid to up its sales. Beijing corruption officials have opened a formal investigation.

Sanofi is a Global Compact participant since 2000/07/26, and is considered as one of the organization's Founding Fathers. Sanofi was a USD 15,000 contributor to the Foundation for the Global Compact in 2013, a Gold Contributor (USD 10,000) in 2012 and 2011.
