This blog provides information on how U.N. Global Compact participants' walk the talk. The GC is a voluntary initiative at the strategic level to engage businesses towards sustainability principles. There is however a risk of 'blue-washing' by covering up corporate misbehaviour and law infringement from large MNEs through poorly enforced 'Integrity Measures' and weak U.N supervision. Former France Telecom CEO indicted over 35 suicides
Former France Telecom chief executive Didier Lombard has been indicted by a court in Paris and bailed over allegations that he led a corporate culture of bullying and harassment that resulted in the suicide of at least 30 employees.

Nestlé subsidiary facing fine after worker's death
A Nestlé subsidiary is facing fines of almost three quarters of a million dollars following the death of a worker at its Massachusetts production plant.

Nestle is a Global Compact participant since 2001/02/20. Nestle was a Gold Contributor of the Foundation for the Global Compact in 2009 and 2010.
