This blog provides information on how U.N. Global Compact participants' walk the talk. The GC is a voluntary initiative at the strategic level to engage businesses towards sustainability principles. There is however a risk of 'blue-washing' by covering up corporate misbehaviour and law infringement from large MNEs through poorly enforced 'Integrity Measures' and weak U.N supervision. Temporary Worker Killed at Bacardi Bottling, OSHA Says Company Failed to Train
OSHA has cited Bacardi Bottling in Jacksonville, Fla., with willful and serious violations following the death of a temporary worker during his first day at work. Proposed penalties for the violations total $192,000.

Bacardi Bottling is a subsidiary of Bermuda-based Bacardi Limited. Bacardi Limited(BACDA) is a Global Compact participant since 2008/07/28. Bacardi Limited was a Gold contributor (USD 10,000) to the Foundation for the Global Compact in 2012 and 2011.
